Shane Richmond, General Manager welcomes you to one of the largest showrooms in Kentucky.  When you walk into the dealership you are warmly welcomed into the 3000 sq. ft. showroom with hardwood maple floors that came from an old warehouse in Milwaukee, WI, filled with wood shavings, oil, and a lot of character.  You are surrounded by unique lighting, hand drawn graphics, and prototype fixtures straight from Harley-Davidson.  Sit back and enjoy our Rider's Lounge and enjoy our friendly staff and great selection of motorcycles, parts, accessories, and Motorclothes®.  We are open 7 days a week, including our service department and we give you plenty of excuses to come out and ride with us.

A letter from the owner, Scott Maddux:

As a child, my grandfather took me to Ralph Maddux's Harley-Davidson dealership. Ralph never had more than two or three bikes in a shop no larger than a living room; however, that was plenty of room for my imagination. My grandfather had owned Harley-Davidson® bikes, and whether he knew it or not, he was passing his love on to me.

I got my first bike when I was seven and motorcycles have been in my life ever since. While attending graduate school, I pasted a photograph of a Heritage Edition Softail® to my computer screen. Although I had ridden motorcycles most all of my life, I had never seen anything that compared to this machine. The photograph inspired me and reminded me of the sacrifices my family had made for me (I was the only person in my family to ever go to college).

During that time, I often imagined riding that Harley-Davidson® bike on open roads and experiencing adventures far beyond my hometown of Baxter, Tennessee. Although I could not afford to purchase the motorcycle, I continued to dream. Finally, I purchased my first Harley-Davidson bike, a 1964 FLH (I still own).

As to why I wanted to become a Harley-Davidson and Buell dealer, since selling my construction business in 2001, I sought to own another business. Not just any business, but a business that I am passionate about. This led me back to my roots and my love for motorcycles.

There is something about Harley-Davidson® that seems to bring individuals together into a collective community, a brotherhood. I noticed it the first time I rode my machine and received the salute by a fellow rider. It is the relationship between man and machine and the kinship among riders that motivated me to become a dealer.

In 2003, Harley-Davidson invited Monet and me to Milwaukee to present our dealership plans. Sitting in a room that included eight members from Harley-Davidson's selection committee, I laid out my ideas. I wanted to have a dealership focused on the customer, a place that represented the Motor Company's values, a staff that appreciated and welcomed all, and in general "The best damn Harley-Davidson dealership anywhere".

When you walk into Wildcat Harley-Davidson you can experience our business plan first hand. If you have never visited us here at Wildcat, I encourage you to make it a point. I think you will agree that we have created something very special.

The Harley-Davidson Mission states "We fulfill Dreams through the experiences of Motorcycling", it was my dream to be part of this heritage and now I am fortunate to do my part to see that Harley-Davidson continues to fulfill their Mission.

Ride safe and I hope to see you soon.
